Catie's Christmas

Catie's activity level has drastically inceased since her first Christmas! On Christmas morning, she adored waddling around in her Christmas jammies and playing with all the wrapping paper and boxes. She constantly found little bits of trash on the floor to hold up and show to me while uttering one of her precious baby noises.
-
Catie's favorite gift seemed to be her new baby doll. I bought her a tiny plastic baby boy doll, hoping to ease her into the idea of having a new brother in less than two months. Her reaction to the baby doll was amazing. She immediately picked him up, held him close, smiled and began babbling to him. I never thought a one-year-old could act so "mature." Clearly she has been observing how Mommy and Daddy care for her each day and mimicking what we do with the baby doll. She calls him "Ma" and she carries him around for five minutes or more. She even walks holding him--no easy feat for a little wobbler.
-
She has occasionally tossed him and bitten his head a few times. Hopefully, these behaviors are no indication of what will occur when her baby brother is born.

Catie made our Christmas amazing and delightful. We look forward to all the milestones she will accomplish in 2010.

P.S. Baby Boy is doing well. He is moving A LOT and growing as expected. He was almost 3lbs. at our last sonogram. I'm almost 31 weeks along--that means about 7 more weeks to go!
